My name is Kasi Frenton and this will be my second year teaching fourth grade at Par Excellence Academy. It has always been my dream to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl and I am extremely happy to be fulfilling my dream at Par Excellence Academy. I believe every child is unique and should be given the opportunity to display their learning in a variety of ways. By helping children make connections between what they are learning in the classroom and how it can be applied in a real life situation I believe they will be more successful learners. I have lived in Newark all my life and grew up attending Licking Valley Schools. I attended the Ohio State University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. I then went on to Mount Vernon Nazarene University where I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education along with a Multi-Age Reading Endorsement. Recently, I finished classes for my 4th and 5th grade certification in all subject areas. Prior to being a fourth grade teacher I was a Permanent Substitute for Licking Heights South where I taught children in grades 2-4. Before that position I substitute taught in all grade levels and subject areas in various schools across Licking County while attending college.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, family, and friends. My fiancé and I are planning on getting married in the next few months. I also enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and shopping when I get the chance. I love cats and have two of my own. Their names are Samson and Smokey.
