I am the fifth grade teacher here at Par Excellence Academy.
This is my sixth year teaching and my fifth year at Par Excellence. I graduated from Ashland University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a reading endorsement for kindergarten through twelfth grade. In 2009, I obtained my generalist endorsement for fourth and fifth grade from Ohio State University. In 2006 when I graduated from college, I was hired at Par Excellence as the kindergarten teacher. During my second year at Par Excellence, I taught Title 1 reading, and during my third and fourth year, I taught second grade.
My fifth year of teaching was spent substitute teaching in several schools in Franklin County. I enjoyed substituting because I felt I grew as a teacher and I met many wonderful teachers who gave me new and interesting teaching ideas.
However, it's good to be back at Par Excellence, and I am very excited to be teaching fifth grade.
I currently live in Columbus with my husband, David, and our two cats. I enjoy reading, traveling, genealogy research and spending time with my family and friends.
