Miss Ursula Fusner

My name is Ursula Fusner and I have been one of the kindergarten teachers at Par Excellence for 4 years. I graduated from Ohio University in 2007 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on completing my Master’s Degree in Reading from Ohio University. I would eventually like to expand my education and get another degree in special education.

A big part of my life is my family. I come from a family of teachers. My grandmother was an elementary teacher in the Tri-Valley school district. Both of my parents are teachers. My mother teaches nursing at Ohio University Zanesville and my father just retired from the Danville school district. Also I have an aunt and some cousins that are teachers as well. Therefore I have always had this passion to become a teacher ever since I was a little girl playing with my grandmother’s old teaching materials.

I am a very creative person and I love to have fun. Therefore I try to incorporate those two aspects in my teaching style. A little part of my philosophy is if I am not having fun, then the students are not having fun. So I try to make learning fun and exciting not only for them but for myself as well.

Here are just some fun facts or tidbits about me. I enjoy taking pictures; I always have my camera with me. I also enjoy making scrapbooks. My favorite animals are manatees. I have a BIG sweet tooth. And if I were a superhero my superpower would be to become invisible because I would like to see what happens when I am not around.
