I grew up in Minnesota, the second oldest in a family of nine children. I attended Catholic Schools until college. Nursing school was in Rochester, Minnesota where my clinical experience was at the Mayo Clinic. I moved to the east coast and graduated from Boston University in environmental studies. I worked as a camp nurse in New Hampshire, a staff nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for 6 years, and did hospice and home care nursing.
In 1982 I went to Europe and was so inspired by the art that I started a decorative painting business in Boston. I painted for eight years before I met my husband and moved to Ohio.
I have three stepchildren, one in Peru, one in Connecticut, and one in Granville. We have a 14 year old son, Roan, at Newark Catholic here in Newark.
My good fortune brought me to Par Excellence Learning Center in 2002. I am grateful for the trust given to me in caring for these children and their families.
